Hello! Thanks for visiting by my blogsite. I am dulcequilts. I am a former Spanish teacher and a lover of quilts and Don Quijote de la Mancha. Hence the "dulce" which means sweet. To me, quilting is a sweet craft and provides me with many sweet days.
I have been creating quilts for about 32 years! Time flies when you are involved in what you love. Through those years, I have raised two marvelous sons and been blessed with two lovely "daughters" through them. And a beautiful granddaughter! I am married to a 36-year veteran science teacher who has always encouraged me to find my voice in this craft.
I have been very fortunate to have been mentored by many creative and talented textile artists. I will credit them as I blog and show my work inspired by their incredible masterpieces. Living in Lancaster, PA allows me to be around beautiful quilts and talented quiltmakers every day. Working in the shop has introduced me to the local quilt artists. They are amazing!
I am looking to share my experiences in quilting and crafting not become the next Eleanor Burns! I enjoy my craft and would love to share it with others because that is how I learn new techniques as well.
I hope that you may find some inspiration from my work.
Trisha
